Located within Pakuwon, Surabaya, East Java, this 300m2 residence was completed by Studio RWA in 2025 covering interior design and project management. Despite its more compact footprint compared to some of Studio RWA’s larger projects, this home demonstrates that restraint and curation can achieve the same sense of refinement as scale. The design is modern in its foundations; clean lines, uncluttered spaces, and a disciplined material palette; but elevated through deeply considered furniture selection and decorative choices that give each room genuine character and depth. The result feels closer in spirit to a curated American classic home than a minimal modern one, achieving warmth and personality through careful layering rather than ornate detailing. Spaces include the foyer, living room, pantry, hallway, corridor, master bathroom, walk-in closet, powder room, and kids bedroom – each designed with the same thoughtful attention throughout.
